Boder, a professor of psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, traveled to Europe to write down the stories of Holocaust survivors told in their own words. Within three months he visited refugee camps in France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany with a tape recorder. He recorded over 90 hours of first-hand coverage.
